Key Responsibilities
- Draft and proof correspondence/documents from audio and copy typing.
- Organise filing system: daily updates, file storage/retrieval as per guidelines.
- Prepare outgoing mail and ensure all enclosures are included.
- Handle document copying.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and maintain the Legal Adviser’s diary.
- Support teammates and contribute to a collaborative work culture.
- Assist clients professionally in person and over the phone.
- Answer calls promptly; relay accurate messages to Legal Advisers.
- Complete required training and take initiative for personal development.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and firm documents.
- Assist with file opening via case management system and admin tasks.
- Format complex legal documents (e.g. wills, LPAs, deputyship forms).
- Follow firm’s standards for document handling using Proclaim and Word.
- Oversee proper storage and dispatch of client deeds/documents.
- Ensure money laundering regulations are followed.
- Create invoices and handle Accounts paperwork when requested.
- Manage file reviews for Legal Adviser’s regular checks.
- Process file closures in line with official procedures.
- Prepare final versions of documents for signing.
